California Cab

California Cab has juicy, dominant grapes sweetly interwoven with dark fruits of plums and ripe black cherries. Oak barrels ground the base along with aged wooden stems, and mild indistinguishable spices provide warmth. It's a lovely, fruity fragrance but it doesn't smell like wine. Despite my hope for fermentation, it lacked tannic structure, and neither alcohol nor acidity was present unlike my expectation of drinking a glass of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The strong throw increased with each burn (7 after 3rd burn) and it’s delicious. Overall, if you’re familiar with the sweet fragrance of a winery’s cellar where grapes are aging in oak barrels, this candle is the gold standard. It’s perfect if you prefer approachable and sweet grape-forward wine candles like Bath & Body Works Wine Cellar (which also doesn't smell remotely like wine or a boozy drink).

It’s not a bad candle, but it smells nothing like wine. Smells just like grape juice to me.

This one is a hit with both my daughter and myself! The throw is amazing!!

When I first received this candle, all I could smell was Welch grape juice; however, when burning this candle it was a throw of an 8 and filled my open concept home with the scent of wine, oak wood and has now become my favorite candle from Kringle. Just give this candle a chance to melt together when burning, you will be pleasantly surprised.
