I returned the candle

I had bought two Jelly Donut candles so I returned Poppin Bottles. Jelly Donut is an amazing candle.

Poppin’ Bottles

Looking for a celebration in a jar? On cold sniff, Poppin’ Bottles smells tangy and fizzy like brut Dom Perignon, but when warmed, it’s sweeter with a much smoother effervescence like sec champagne. A juicy peach-like note (not listed) is supported by citrusy oranges and finished with mildly tangy grapefruit. Bubbly champagne grounds the base, while a subtle touch of violets and dewy peonies add supporting sweetness without being obviously floral (it enhances the sweetness in the same manner but not fragrance as Sweet Pea from Bath & Body Works). Overall, it reminds me of a peach Bellini which is among my favorite cocktails. This was STRONG, and even unlit with the lid closed it overshadowed all the other candles in my order, so not surprisingly the throw was excellent (8.5 on third burn).

Celebrating Cutting The Grass?

I burned this candle during our New Year’s Eve festivities. On cold sniff, I thought that the candle smelled fresh and pretty. My husband remarked, “To me, it smells fruity. I can’t tell you what it is.” When I mentioned that a top note was orange blossom, my husband thought that might be what he smelled. When burning, I thought that the candle smelled like freshly cut grass. It was a very green and Spring-like fragrance. The strength and throw was very strong. It permeated the open concept downstairs and traveled upstairs as well. The candle was even strong enough to combat the smell of dinner – beef fried rice and bao buns. Once again, I wondered why the scents that I don't love are the ones that are so strong. As usual, the burn was perfect. This would not be a repurchase, but I will enjoy the candle that I have during the Spring or Summer months. If you like fresh, green scents, give this a try!
